Many of my students tend to panic at the beginning of the illustration course. They often feel the need to inform me, that the cannot draw, or that they cannot even draw a straight line. That is totally fine- I tell them – neither can I. Few people actually can. That’s why rulers were invented. And although about 20 years ago, one of my art teachers forbid us to use rulers in her class- I still cannot understand her point. I do understand however, why so many of my friends hated drawing after her classes.
Illustration should be fun. Stress- free. Drawing is fun and learning to draw should be fun.
So let’s make it clear from the very beginning: you do not have to be able to draw a straight line. Actually, we are going to start with something much easier.
I’ve promised you an illustration course some time ago and I’m really sorry it took me so long to fulfill m promise.
But here it comes, a simple drawing class for everyone who would like to learn more about illustration, anatomy, traditional and digital drawing and painting tools and much more.
